You Are Not Alone – Hope Begins with One Conversation

Suicide is a deeply personal and painful issue that affects individuals, families, schools, and entire communities. It is also preventable. At the Spink County Coalition and SADD Chapter, we are committed to saving lives through education, connection, and early intervention. Our Suicide Prevention program works to break the silence, reduce stigma, and ensure that no one feels alone in their struggles.

We believe that one caring voice, one open conversation, one timely resource can make all the difference.

Our efforts focus on:

  • Education and awareness programs in schools and community spaces that teach students and adults to recognize the warning signs of suicide, such as withdrawal, hopelessness, or drastic mood changes.

  • Training in QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) and other suicide prevention strategies to equip youth and adults with the skills to respond confidently and compassionately when someone may be at risk.

  • Peer support and mentoring initiatives that encourage youth to check in with each other and normalize talking about mental health.

  • Access to local and national crisis resources, including suicide prevention hotlines, mental health counseling, and emergency support.

  • Events and campaigns, such as World Suicide Prevention Day and Mental Health Awareness Month, to raise visibility, foster resilience, and promote hope.

We also provide materials and workshops for parents, caregivers, and educators, helping them build strong communication with the youth in their lives and create safe environments where emotional well-being is prioritized.

Our message is simple, but powerful: There is always help. There is always hope. Your story is not over.

If you or someone you know is struggling, please reach out. Together, we can create a community where every individual feels valued, supported, and safe.
